Step 0: Have a Windows Computer or Windows virtual machine

  1. Unencrypt the PDF with the password given and follow the steps

  1. Go to www.solidworks.com/SEK

  1. Enter your info and select the correct options (Student Team, Yes, 2024. Then Request Download

  1. Once it’s done downloading, run the installer.

When running the installer, ensure you’re unzipping it to a normal place. Usually it will default to your c:\ drive which is good. Do not unzip it to any cloud folder.

  1. Copy in serial number and press next

  1. Select what you want to install, you don’t need everything. You can always install the other included products later. Make sure you’re satisfied with all the folder locations.
